Ontario Towing School

Create your Ontario Towing School student account and register for the Ontario Tow Truck Driver Certification Program.

Once registered, students will receive access to the online learning platform and all required orientation materials.

Online Training Fee: $399.00

Complete all online learning modules, required learning activities, audio and visual content, and Module Quizzes.

Students must successfully complete all online lessons and achieve a minimum passing grade of 80% on each Module Quiz before advancing through the program.

The online training component requires approximately 8 to 10 hours to complete.

Practical Training Fee: $399.00

Students who successfully complete all online training requirements may register for practical hands-on training.

Practical training includes a minimum of six (6) hours of instructor-led practical exercises designed to reinforce the knowledge and skills learned during the online training portion of the program.

Ontario Towing School delivers practical training throughout Central and Northern Ontario to help students access training closer to home while meeting all program requirements.

Following successful completion of practical training, students must complete the Final Certification Examination.

The Final Certification Examination consists of 100 multiple-choice questions covering the knowledge and skills presented throughout the training program.

Students must successfully pass the examination before becoming eligible to apply for a Tow Driver Certificate.

After successfully completing all online training, practical training, and examination requirements, Ontario Towing School will report your successful completion to the Ministry of Transportation.

Once your training record has been updated in the Ministry's system, you may apply for your Tow Driver Certificate through the Ministry of Transportation's online application portal.

There is no mandatory waiting period once your successful completion has been reported and recorded.
